Becoming a meth head lol

I'm ready for more power and have finally given in to the influence of METH!!! lol So before I commit to this, can someone please give me a run down of what exactly can be so bad about meth?? What does it do to ruin people's engines? And are there ways around that? Any info appreciated

Cylinder bore wash out, thinning of oil, which can lead to less lubrication/protection of rod bearings (Which maybe what you heard about ruining engines). Jet/Pump failure or disconnection at WOT (Rare). Life expectancy of a motor is less when running meth, due to washing out of the protective properties of the oil. Not sure about the corrosive issues, but I think that is minimum. Change oil often, and mix 50/50 or 75/25 with H2O.

hope this helps a bit, it is just my opinion. Search for the rest of your answers.

Ahh, um.. not sure if that's supposed to sound worse than what it is. But either way none of that sounds too good...

I heard something about running straight water somewhere (can't remember where) Would this have the destructiveness as running straight meth, or a combo, or would this be safer?? Would i yield lower gains? and how much lower if so??

I hear the best and most HP gains are with 50/50 mix I believe, it's what the experts noticed most gains. Some even say strait water is better. Water is obviously less corrosive then meth.

What part of "ruining your engine" is supposed to sound good? You are asking alot of questions here, and you should search first, ask questions later. I have to go back to work now.

I have had Meth on 2 previous cars, but had no issues with either. Granted though, I didn't have them longer than 30k miles, so the long term effects weren't figured out. Although, BOY is it FUN!

i just had the aem meth kit installed and i love it! It made a HUGE difference, BUT i am running 100% meth!it was installed and had a custom tune by Lucas English! It runs much cooler and that was one reason i wanted it. I moved from Wa to Tucson AZ and i wanted something to cool the engine since its a way hotter temp down here. Anyway, no complaints here, and thats after driving from wa to tucson, 23 hours of straight driving! I think its a good mod!

I have to agree with the changing oil from what I have heard. I never do it enough though . If you get a kit make sure that you have an excellent fail safe. I love the aquamist system for this reason. It kicks me to wastegate if a number of different things happen. ex. low flow, low fluid level, and a few others. I have been at wot @28psi on stock turbo and then foosh. Lights ablaze and 10psi bog.
I had run low on meth. Saved my engine though.

I run 100% meth.

I dont know if this is what your asking, but I have my kit set up tuned right at 10psi. So at 10psi the meth kicks in. Its pretty cool because i dont go through much meth and thats a good thing running 100% at $5 a gallon!

Pros-
Race gas power on pump
Cooler intake charge
steam cleans engine
don't need as big of an injector

Cons-
meth backfire
needs proper failsafe
wears out pump seals
"thins" out oil
wear out spark plugs faster

So you're saying that as long as i continually change oil, spark plugs, and since the kits usually come with failsafes that that will take care of those problems?? So what are the cahnces of the other two occouring??

wash out will be from unburned fuel.....correct? So running the system on a car that is not tuned or tuned well will be the ones affected.

If this is not correct tell me how a fluid that is being burned can cause this.

Anytime you add HP you add more stress to the motor. Esp bearings. This is def where the oil will break down faster. Stick with a good oil and this will not be an issue.

Back to the running rich or not burning off the meth, it will wash out the cylinder walls and rings. Causing some serious wear/damage.
