Oh no...A canuck with an EVO!!
Hey Folks.. Never thought I'd be part of this forum.. Here in Canada we could only look with envy at all the fun you guys were having with EVO'S..
While we had to settle with WRX's and Type R's. ( Loved my Type R..)
But hey since Mitsu decided to come over from the dark side and into Canada this year, I decided to invest in some serious road fun, with an 08 EVO X.
Brand spanking new with less than 1000 kms on it ( that's about 600 miles in American talk..)
Good news is the car is very nice to drive, stops and handles great.. look awesome also..
Bad news is it already needs a reflash to cure a ' falling flat on it's face due to mis-fire under load at anything over 5 grand in any gear..
Now I'm waiting for my dealer to get the reflash disc from Japan ( Go figure, my car is the one of the 60 that arrived in Canada with an ecu problem.. lucky me )
which will take 2-3 weeks (?????) Don't they have air mail over there?
Anyway, I peeked around the site, and it looks like a nice place to learn..

Isn't that funny.. Had the car for 4 years and I can't find a single photo! I had my share of computer crashes and hard drive wipeouts though, so away they went. It was a 2001 Championship white, and had the red seats cause it was Canadian.
Car was just a blast, but we needed seating for 5 so away it had to go! I would reccommend a Type R to anybody.. Super build quality, very high quality mod parts available.
The fastest car I have ever driven was my buddies turbo Type R.. about 420 HP at the wheels, with a 9 grand redline.. and holy loud exhaust batman! It was kind of like the a scene from Star Wars over 5 grand! Never raced a 1/4 mile with it, track car only, but spanked just about everybody..I do have a pic of my shop with some of my toys, i'll try to post it if it isn't too big.
Besides the Escort RS 2000, I have a 66 Lotus Elan ( getting a spring refresh on the motor ) and a 56 MGA hidden under the hoist. my driver is a 63 mK1 Cortina with a Cosworth BDA ( I'm sure no one here knows what either of those things are..ha ha )
