should i wait for a tune?

right now its all stock, I just ordered a buschur racing intake(filter kit). I did some research before hand on either drop in or cone ect and every seems to reccomend a tune with even just changing the intake or filter. I want to get a full TBE either keeping with buschur or meagan, as I cant afford the exhaust it right away, should i just wait to put the intake on till i have the exhaust and get it tuned then or can i put the intake on before hand with out any problems.
thanks

Be patient and do it all at once. Once you have the TBE, tune it and be prepared for some power

you'll be fine with the intake without a tune... Evos run rich out of the factory.. So the intake leaning it out a little bit should not cause any damage. I have had an AEM SRI on my evo 9 mr for 3 months now. No problems.

In addition, you will see no benefit in power from adding the intake without tuning for it. If sound is what you are after, then go for it. It's not about running it with no problems, I would imagine it is about making some power...

you want some cheap power: LICP, BOOST CNTLR, TEST PIPE, REFLASH. those are some what inexpensive mods and you will make decent power with just a little cash

OP, I reccomend waiting on installing the intake until you get the tbe.

I also reccomenc getting a mbc with the tbe.

With those 3 mods you could be 300+ awhp with a tune.

If you have any questions you can contact me here in pm or on AIM (mellontuning).

YUp just wait and do it all at once so you don't have to pay for a retune
