Hello all!

Hello everyone!

My name is Ben. Im in the USAF stationed at Robins (warner robins, GA). I currently (and unfortunately) drive an 06' tiburon. As soon as I can find someone to buy my car from me, I will be in the market for an 06 MR. I've been reading a lot on this site for the past week or so, and made my decision for the IX over the X simply for the current aftermarket support! A few of my friends have Subie's and Evos and I just cant wait to own one! Anyways, you'll probably see me around here. I just wanted to introduce myself!

Ben

P.S. if you want to check out the tib -

Hey their, im at Ramstein! You made a good decision with the Evo IX, they make really good power even on the stock turbo & cams. You will be happy with it What are your plans with the car? That should decide if you should spend the extra money on the MR edition or settle for the RS/GSR/SE with the 5sp.

Well, Im looking to do mainly performance. Pretty much something that runs in the 11's. I like the extra features of the MR, and it seems like it's not all that much more expensive! It's def. in my price range. Im currently playing in the giant sandbox so i have plenty for a downpayment / first few mods

Running 11's in an Evo is no big deal at all. Although if you want to do mainly drag racing with it, then a lot of people prefer the 5-speed to the 6. I think the ratios are better suited for dragging and the 5-speed box is a little bit stronger. Either way good choice getting a IX over a X. Although the X responds well to mods too, I want to see how well the new 4B11 holds up over time and what kinds of problems need to be worked out before I think about getting one.
