Hey All, My Current Situation

hi all, im currently driving an aspen white 02 subaru wrx. bought it for a decent price.

but im not in love with it like i used to be.

i used to own a 99 eclipse gsx and enjoyed everyday i sat behind the steering wheel.

but now im looking to buy an evo. sadly, i've noticed all the evo's out there that i can afford are going 80k+ miles...

i was just wondering if high mileage evo's are worth it. even at a price they are asking. (cheapest one i found was an evo 83k miles for 20g's

secondly, anyone selling one that's willing to trade + cash thats in my budget?

third, anyone interested in purchasing my subaru, pm me...
thanks for reading.

nothing too bad about that many miles as long as it was properly maintained.

There is nothing wrong with a well maintained high mileage vehicle.

I sold my Evo 9 almost 8 months ago. Then I bought a 05 M3 and modded the hell out of it. After having it supercharged for 3 months I sold it. When I started looking for my 2nd Evo I looked in the Autotrader on line. Did a ANYWHERE mile search and Found one outside of New Orleans with 49,000 all stock. I paid 16,200 cash. Just be sure and do a Carfax report on it. I guarantee if you look and are willing to drive (650 miles) like I did you will find what you are looking for. I actually found a '04 with 4,500 original miles for 24,999 obo. I just wanted to pay cash and couldn't spend that much.

Look hard, find what you like, and you should spend a little bit more to get the right car. I sacrificed on quality when I picked my Z (exterior wise) and rebuilding it took more effort and money than necessary - in the end I spent more so jsut learn from that. I would expect 22k to 23k for a low mileage Evo 8 stock. I spent $28.9k for my IX MR but it was well worth it and came lightly modded and tuned which was definitely nice.

I agree with the look hard part for sure but I would personally never want a car someone else modded. I also wouldn't look at anything you will have to sink money into. The only problems with y car was the fadded wing and curbed wheels.. Not a single door ding :-)
