Need Help With Picking Out A EVO IX

Hello, I was wondering which 06 Evolution IX would be the most reliable, best in performance, and will last me the longest with out breaking down... im a little bit in the noob section on Mitsubishi...The 06 EVO IX MR edition (6 speed) or the 06 EVO IX SE (5 speed)?? I have heard that the MR edition does not accelerate as fast as the SE and it has more turbo lag. I dont know if thats true so i want YOU evo ix mr and evo ix se owners to tell me the truth about that. any help would be appreciated

-thanks tkhaab

get the 06 ix se if you plan on modding the car to 500+ hp, but if you want to stay stock or just add intake and little stuff then buy the mr.

With the right amount of money you can make any car reliable. SE or MR. You have to take into consideration how the car is driven. If you beat the crap out of the car than it is more likely to have issues more so but if you take care of the car than the car will take care of you.

well what else are you asking, all of what you asked above should be answered in the links you were given. but no the spooling time on the mr and the se would be the same. and there is nothing to worry about, the stock turbos are fine when it comes to spooling up. if your just DD the boost is still there w/e u need it no matter what gear you are in really. if the light turns yellow and you are close enough that you want to accelerate through you just press the gas a bit more and you woulnt get max boost but just a bit and you'll be moving. and if you put yourself in the right gear the boost is there in a flash and it'll seem as if you have a rocket sticking out of ur trunk instead of that big wing lol
