Turbo upgrade?

I was wondering what type of mods you need to support APT Turbo's EVO8 Stage 3 Stealth Upgrade kit. It includes the downpipe. I was going to post a link but not sure if I was allowed. I'm not even sure if this is the right section. lol I saw 61 people viewing so I though someone might know.

Update! How's the Green turbo work on a Evo 9?

Clutch, injectors, pump, and head studs. Thats all I can think of.

Thanks! When I get the kit I'll need to know what size injectors. Probbly your standard 255 Walbro pump. I've never heard of head studs.

If you haven't heard of head studs and don't know what size injectors to get, then I _highly_ suggest not purchasing this turbo. I have never even heard of APT nor a stage 3 stealth upgrade, so I don't know what it is - I doubt most do know. You should link to this turbo so that people can do the research for you.

Im guessing the stealth upgrade is a turbo kit meant to look stock when the hood is popped. Post the link and description so we can see what size turbo is included in the kit and we can be more help.

depending on how much boost ur gonna be running, ur gonna need some ARP head studs, they keep the head from lefting under high boost. Anything more then 25psi, you should get some. Ive never heard of this turbo neither, if you wanna look stock and make some serious power try the Green of wait for the Red.
As far as injector size, you probably couldnt go wrong wit 780cc.

Thanks you guys are restoring my faith in this forum. I made a post about MPG and got some abrasive feedback.

Yea, i feel you man, same here. But i looked at the turbo kit and i'd say go with the green and some meth or alky. You won't be disappointed, trust me. I've seen 420whp and 480tq on that setup and its cheaper than your ATP kit. Look it up man, you'll see.

Basically its a kit that uses your stock manifold and heatshield so everything still looks stock, minus the external wastegate.

I see that they have serveral different turbo choices, depending on which turbo and how much boost will determine how big of injectors. I would definatly recommend head stud, fairly cheap and easy to install. Bigger injectors is almost always a requirement when installing a turbo bigger than the stock one. Something around 750cc should be plenty for any of the choices on that page I think.

Thanks man! From what I read, that seems to be a very reliable and good gains for
350-400ish whp. I just want a fun to drive, daily driver thats reliable. As if a stock Evo wasn't but for the price can't go wrong.

How much of a MPG decrease are we looking at running a fuel pump, injectors and tune?

You don't have an Evo yet, but you're planning on going with one of the worst turbo kits out there? Reliable and good gains for 350-400ish whp? The stock turbo does that...
