that will make well over 450hp you dont need a 40r for that there are alot of better setups for that number i would pm ams or buscher and tell them what you are looking for and they will pont you in the right direction or look for some one local to you and ask for a ride in there setup so you can feel the lag for your self and it not be a guessing game a 30r would get you those numbers and spool way better on the stock 2.0

Ive been told numerous times the 35R is more than suitable for our motor.

the 40R might be a little too big but im just telling you what i was told and what i will be going with. either kit will make 450whp or more

gt40's have not shown alot of good numbers for the 4g63. You definately dont want that turbo for the stock block. Plenty of people run 30's and 35's on the stock block and make either right under 500 or a little over 500 with the right mods. IMO, 40r would a waste of money and motor, you wouldnt hit full boost until well over 6500rpms.

The turbo your taking about is to laggy on the street and more sutuible for a 2.3 liter stroker motor, the turbo kit your looking for, so your the whp range your is the buschur hta 35r of the self kit that thing spool fast and makes crazy amount's of power wouldn't run meth on a stock block just use 93oct and you'll be more then happy around 475whp to 500whp with a nice aggressive street tune.

What's really nice about that kit is that it comes with everything you need for install the turbo even comes asembled togther for a complete bolton kit,but injecter's are needed and are not provided in the kit 880 will be plenty and a good tune you'll be good to go.

a gt40 would be laggy for the street. especially for the stock motor. I dno how this applies lol but my motor in my drag honda is bored out to 2.0l with a 40r on it. My car hit boost at around 5000k till redline 10,000... and this is a fully built motor with headwork and full bottom done. I say a 30r or even a 35r is great to fulfill your 500hp goal.,

are you joking? you must be very new to the forced induction concept. please do yourself a favor and don't buy anymore parts till you do lots lots and lots more research or you will end up with a car you hate.

You asked and you got an answer. You got multiple answers. The 40R will SUCK BA!!S on the stock motor. Your car will basicaly be even worse than a normally aspirated car until about 6500 rpm, then you get a split second of power and have to shift and then have no power again. . .

Search again. Read for hours before you spend more $$. Many people have used 37R's, 40R's, 42R's. . . and they are ABSOLUTELY not what you want if you goal is 450HP on the stock motor. . . not even close.

I'm not busting your *****. I've been there, done that, spent way to much money on things I thought I needed until I learned otherwise. . . the hard way.

To point you in the right direction, search for posts on the Forced Performance EVOGreen and EVORed turbos. They are going to be what it sounds like your are looking for . . .

Also, read this entire thread. Your eyes will hurt, your brain will hurt, but it should be required reading for all folks starting to mod thier EVO. . .

Good luck!

You will be extremely disappointed with a 40r, you technically NEED a 2.3 to make it do what you want it to. Plus, a 30r or 35r are half the price and the spool is much better. Just wait till the FPred comes out and go with that, with meth and the red you'll make good numbers.
