Little Brother
Hello Everyone its Shane again! Ahh lets just say the best day of my life was last Friday.. I finally purchased my Evo. My new baby is a Electric Blue Evo IX with 29,000 miles and all I can say is amazing.
This is the most precious car I have ever owned. The power this car has is amazing, she would absolutley destroy the Cobalt, but hey we all have to start somewhere dont we?
I had driven down to Virginia to get her but it was worth it. The man who I bought the car from was in the military and anyone who knows someone from the military is that they are **** about everything. He kept this beauty in prestine condition. Shes absolutly amazing. All I want to do is drive her that or wash her. Yes I'm only 18 years old but Im an aged driver. Been driving ever since I was 12. Dad's S4's.. M3's.. and of course the Vr4. But none of them compare to this car. Im in love period. I cannot wait to meet up with members from the New York Area. Im looking foward to being able to talk to you all about the car because all of you more experience then I do with the car so I respect all of you and cant wait to meet some of you. Just think of me as all your little brothers because I look up to all of you. Well I only managed to get one picture of the car because A. my camera sucks. B. it died. and C. because all i want to do is drive it.

Thanks man, hey a Evo 8 or Evo 9 ... Shes still a Evo you know? I just happend to stumble onto this one but I was probably going to get a 8. Good Luck with your Evo. Yes, of course be safe with this car. Its taken me alot of hard work starting when I was younger to get this car. I never wasted my money on anything because I knew I wanted to get a Evo. I remember this year, a kid had his parents hand him a brand new Evo IX in Tarmac Black. Well in the beginning of this past school year for me so it was like last October. He had the car for a fews months, always romping on it, and totaled the car, actually only about a quarter mile away from my house. I know what it took for me to even think about getting this car and I know I would never do anything to put that into jepordy.
Felt the same way when I picked up my Evo last Feb.
I was 18 then, 19 now, but not much older than you.
Take great care of the car, be careful, don't be stupid and try to show off and total it like a lot of the younger drivers.
Grats bro

Let your maturity take over, and realize they aren't worth it.
Now if it's someone actually worth a race, set up a track date
You sound like you have a decent head on your shoulders so congrats with the aquisition of the car! But seriously, you haven't been driving M3's and S4's since you were twelve, thats a little rediculous and abhorrently irresponsible for any owner of a sports car to hand the keys to a 12 year old.
Don't crash it! Go to a HPDE event and learn the limits of the car safely!

Oh of course not, hah my dad wouldn't even let me sit in the front seat of any of his cars at age 12. Now age 16 is a little different story. At my old house we use to have a huge driveway that you couldn't even see the house. He would let me drive up and down the driveway until I moved onto empt parking lots then etc. Thanks for all the advice and will do. I actually know a man who owns a body shop, he use to buy salvaged mustangs and build them back into rousch mustangs. He then proceeded to ship them overseas. He happend to pick up 2 GT 500's along the way. He actually has a whole bunch of friends who go to this track that professional drivers come along with you and let you open the car up, so thats where she's going to be able to run free.

Congratulations on the new car! If I could get any color other than RR, it would be EB just like yours, enjoy the incredible machine you have in your hands now, and always be safe.
Maturity???
No matter how old you get and no matter how mature you get, there is always this rage and fire inside of a person to just destroy the other car that messes with you. I guess you just have to build that strength to withstand the pressure of racing. It's so hard for me to contain myself though...It seems as though I will never become mature when it comes to competition. That's just me I guess and I know it's not the best for me.
Ahaha yeah I know how you feel. Everytime I see her I can't help but smile. The only bad thing is, is that the bank still has the title until I think friday and so she must sit in the garaged all waxed and looking pretty. Thanks Guys.
