help a newb control his boost

Hey guys. I have been reading about boost controllers and I really don't know what's best for me even after looking through what people have said. I need to decide between a cheap manual boost controller (e.g. turbosmart tee BC) or an electronic one (e.g. TurboSmart E-Boost2). I do drive where is snows sometimes, so being able to turn down the boost easily is a good idea. On the other hand, I might be spending a whole lot more for something that isn't necessary because I plan on having defi gauges anyway, so why spend the money on something that has a boost display. Is a EBC really worth five times as much as a MBC? Thanks for any help.

Go manual for now, then upgrade to an electronic if you ever feel it necessary. I like manual boost controllers better myself.

I've been through an mbc and I was not completely happy with it since it didn't hold boost as good as I expected. I recently got my ebc installed and it's awesome! I bought the AEM TRU-BOOST from "boostcontrollerstore.com" for 258.95 + shipping. If you still want to get an mbc, lancershop.com has the Hallman Pro for 87.95 with *free shipping*. I had the Hallman Pro for a month and I changed my mind a couple of weeks after I got it. The AEM TRU-BOOST is an ebc with a boost gauge included. I would go for the AEM....and don't forget to get a gauge pod from lancershop. All the best!!!
