Your Post

Welcome to EvoM, its a great site you will like it. All I can say is you picked a great car, I am a fan of the STi myself as well, both are great cars. I have tinkered on my MR and I will tell you this, on my quest to 400whp which I am very close in getting, there is allot of comprimise. Remember that. If you want the drivability, shoot for low 300whp range, still very fast. If you must have 400whp, as many do, get ready for a rough idling, gas thirsty monster. Yeah, I like too, but go to a reputable builder, and do it right. Week link in the Evo is the Transfer Case, and the 6spd on our MR's, so be careful, the Motor is Strong!! Well, Have fun, and again, welcome!!

Thanks guys...yea, being my DD gas mileage is sort of a concern. I don't drive more than 250 miles a week though. Losing a few MPG's for that cam lope would indeed be worth it though

Welcome. It's always nice seeing a virgin Evo. I agree with Hikaru on the Tein's. Do some research (please search) on springs and you will find a lot of opinions and pictures. I have the Swifts and love them. Great for street and track (and they are cheap).

i was in the same boat. subaru fan (still currently own an 06 WRX, previously owned an 05 STI) at heart. was looking to get another STI and ran into an IXMR SE w/ 7k miles. i couldnt pass it up. i always told myself, if i didnt get another STI it would be because of an EVO. i have no regrets! welcome!
