Potential New X Owner
Hello, My name is John.
I just found this site recently and I'm mostly going to be lurking and reading up on the X's.
I currently own a 2006 STi that is decently modified and I'm in the market to possibly add on a new vehicle. I went for a test drive of a GSR and was quite taken by the car. I love my Subaru, but I can't bring myself to like the 08+ lineup.
On the test drive my initial thoughts were... I was throughly impressed by the quality of the ride, and the seats are hot. The power comes quick and hit hard even with 4 people in the car. Steering is TIGHT and I loved that. A few things I didn't like however. The clutch feel, calling it light doesn't begin to define it, and the shifter feels like a gigantic spaghetti noodle. Also the tail lights didn't thrill me, but the ralliart set the tail off in my opinion.
Anyways, I will be lurking around and putting some serious thought into it.
John.

Yea I suspected it would be an easy fix, same with an STi as far as shifter feel goes; but it definitely has a more firm clutch to start.
From what I've read so far, seems the stock clutch has a LOT to be desired and you may as well switch it out when you get the car.
