I am a noob in this forum, I usually hang around in the clubrsx.com boards.

I am going to buy the evo 7, and i just want to know how fast it really is in the 0-60 and 1/4 mile? Will it be toned down from the J-spec model?

If you want some info on the car you can look around the forums, there's one on rumors which might be true or not and there's general forums where everyone discusses everything. So if you check a couple of them, you should be up to speed really soon!

the EVO VII coming 2 the U.S. will certainly be toned down.
im guessing 2 about 250hp or so.

 

The Evo. VII will be tuned down a great deal. I heard that the 0-60 is going to be about 5sec, maybe a little more. I have know idea what the 1/4 mile is going to be. I hope it is slow, because I have a normal Lancer. But if you are getting one like you say, you will find out how slow or fast it is.

 

The jap model is of course going to be toned down because of the US smog check (It's not like our O zone isn't phucked up anyway)... anyway if you wanna know the specs on a Evo that's comin to our land, check the May or June 2002 Issue of Sport Compact, the one where they compare a tweeked out WRX and an Evo. (sorry fellas your evo lost the straight away at .1 seconds)

 

No figures have been released yet. Just do a search and you'll find all the rumors. Horsepower may be better than expected. A source has hinted that we will get the Evo VIII not VII in a "world release" at the end of Jan. 2003. The Evo is going to be Mitsubishis "flagship" model.
I have seen 1/4 mile times 12.9-13.4 stock...
