Question more load but less boost?

stock IX MR at WOT the peak boost is:

1st gear = 21.7 psi
2nd = 20.3 psi
3rd = 19 psi
4th, 5th, and 6th = didn't check

i thought the more load on the engine results in greater returns... is the gauge wrong or could there be a reason.

Well assuming you didn't put in a different turbo which could do the same thing, produce more load at lower boost, the most likely cause is a boost leak.

Engine load is basically how much air passes through the MAF sensor. If you had a boost leak more air would pass through the sensor but your car would feel like crap .
