are there any MR evo ix's that came with a sunroof? or would i have to hunt down a gsr with one?

 

I might be wrong but i think only the SSL's came with a sunroof on the ix.

this may be a very stupid question but im new to evo's also, if i just get the drop in K&N filter and the car already has a catback system when i bought it, is a tune NEEDED or it will be fine? if i cant get the tune done is it better to just leave the stock filter? i know the car has been dynoed and lightly tunned by a shop here in orlando but does it need a retune after the drop in K&N? thanks

 

youll be fine i did the same thing when i was new in the end the drop in was a waste because i just started modding and got an aftermarket intake...if you get tuned with the intake and exhaust you most likely wont have idle problems, i dont. idle problems mostly come in when you VTA with the BOV.

i really want to keep the car in the warranty then start tuning and heavily modifying, it has a light tune that the dealer has actually noticed but they said its fine because nothing major was changed, so will just the Filter going in have any Positive effects without tuning, or just stick with the stock air filters if i cant tune yet? thanks

 

The GSR tranny offers better performance then the MR 6spd, save yourself some money and forget the MR. You can always add a vortex and MR lights later on.

 

i'd be fine w/o the 6speed, just namely want the bilsteins and lights and rims and things....just the looks of an mr with a sunroof, and bilsteins(i dont want a STIFF dd, but somewhat of an upgrade...)

 

first of all im living proof of no tuning lol. look at my sig and you will see all the mods i have on my evo 8 and it runs perfect. the only thing is im not getting the true benifit of my parts without a tune but im not tuning it until i change my head turbo and port all my parts then ill let mellon tune it. I dont race it so i dont care for now. Until then im adding parts and just get one big tune done. I dont have any good shops or preformace shops or tuners besides kevin D around me. thats a drive to get his way. Its just me my moms bf and the Nissan Dealer. SO i do everything on my own or Nissan dealer helps me if needed(free of charge love owning a modded 350z). You can buy the MR parts off wrecked MR evos so many people having accidents finding those parts you wanted are easy. The sunroof i think only came in GSR and SSL edition Evos. I have sunroof with Hid etc. I wanted the whole package for DD ability. Check my car website for lots of install guides i make when i do a install and just plain pics of various parts if you had questions
