Buying first evo.

my friend is looking at buying a evo after summer and he doesnt have an account but i was just wondering if anyone had any tips that helped them make more money or help them save more. also...whats a good amount for a downpayment?

wow! does your friend have a job? have him get a 2nd job,sell the car he has now, sell his possessions IDK man thats hard to tell everyones in a different financial situation.

If money is such an object I'd stay clear for now. You shouldn't be stretching yourself financially to buy an Evo because there are a lot of ownership costs.
Modding costs really add up as well. Your kidding yourself if you think you're going to keep it stock. If he is planning on doing that then tell him to stay away from this website.

i bought my evo in november... and mine was prolly worse then most peoples but i've had to put around 10 grand into it since then... partly my fault because i should have done more research prior to buying it but i love my car and now there is only a transmission and an intercooler left to replace

shoot ive had mine since january 2006 and its been stock since then its not hard at all to keep it that way

i just saved up since i was younger and i didnt have to work so hard. i just was wondering if anyone had good tips that were successful.

A lot of it depends on his credit history. If he doesn't have much then he's going to be paying a high apr. My advise would be to just go to some credit unions and let the experts tell him what he needs to put down to get the payment where he wants it.
