New 2003 Evo owner!

Ok, so I had my heart set on getting either an 05 or 06 Pontiac GTO or a C5 Corvette originally. Then I went to a car auction and could not turn down the price I got for my Evo. I got a black 03 Evo with 58K miles for $7800 after all of the fees.

Things that are "wrong" with it are it is missing the stereo, the clips that the seat belts plug into, the driverside seat has some tears in it, the rear bumper has a small hole/dent in it about the size of a key and the person who owned it before did not know how to go down inclines and you can tell on the front bumper. The car runs good and I noticed that is has an exhaust and AEM intake. And possibly a switch left in it from nitrous? I'm really not sure, maybe some NorCal Evo or anyone in sacramento can help me out with the car.

So after I get all of that fixed, what upgrades should come next in line?

Damn, that is an amazing price! As for next mods, it really depends on what your goals and priorities are with the car....ie show, go, street? In any case, I always tend to look towards lowering springs or coilovers first, because you get all around performance benefits as well as looks.

Well I think it might be lowered actually already . It looks like it but I'm going to have my buddy put it on a lift and check. I'm not looking to do a crazy setup yet, but just BPU to start off i suppose. Whatever will get me the most gain without spending to much money.

Also what do you guys recommend as far as replacing my front and rear bumper with, if I were to go with something not stock? I don't like my vehicles to look riced out if you know what I mean. I usually prefer the stock look, but something aggressive without saying "hey everybody look at me, I'm JDM aftermarket yo!" would be nice.

Well after further inspection it has some kind of aftermarket front bumper on it with a bad paint job and it also has lowering springs. I think they might be tein's since their green, but I'm not sure. I also found an HKS idle stabalizer in the glove compartment hooked up. It is like every time I get in the car I find something new lol.

Also I had an issue while bringing it home today. While on the freeway I was going around 70 mph today and decided to flip on the AC. A few seconds hour the car started bogging like crazy and it felt like I wasn't getting anymore boost. Like when the car normally would recieve boost, there was nothing. When I hit the gas, I could hear the turbo still trying to spool, but there was no power and MAJOR bogging after. So I drove it all the way to a shop in my area by taking the streets. It can drive, just no boost/or going above 2700ish RPM's. Anyone have any idea what this might be?
