This EVO 9
yea wow thats a good way to void your warranty and not even get to use it. Yea sure you can uninstall all the parts etc but that is alot of work with a new car you just bought. Then you are also assuming the owner installed all the parts???
i know several people that dont install there own stuff so what then pay to get the oem stuff put back on then pay again to reput the mods back on??? why not drive it for what it is for like 6 months and make sure nothing goes wrong with it first before you start modding anew X. i have read plenty of new owners that have had major issues with the X already fresh to the scene. i would pass on this advice besides the op already said he wants to avoid a X if possible. ill look at your car you posted later tomorrow i have a major car show tomorrow and i need to get some sleep ill post after the show what i think of the new car you posted jonwantevo

EVERYDAY you have to check something, make sure it hasn't broke,.. yet..
then when something breaks, (im pretty sure some will), you're gonna have to fix it OUT OF POCKET.. if its one of the critical parts.. YOU CANNOT DRIVE THE EVO.. sometimes for weeks.. the process goes on and on with those kinds of cars..
I'm not saying every car tuned at high horsepower is destined to break or to fail, I'm saying for a guy like you (again from previous posts) I haven't seen any car knowledge that would make you handle these kinds of beasts...
I'm also a noob for tuner cars.. especially the evo, and it is my dream car too, but taking my time to learn and to understand even just the basics will help me when the "right" time comes i would be able to handle and to appreciate all the hard work i have done in the past so i could enjoy the dream car i always want to have.

It is always sad to see young people get the high-end cars only to end up in a high speed accident and something bad happens.. don't be one of them jon..
If you really want an evo NOW.. i would suggest getting an X mainly for you to learn (plus the fact that its bone stock) or just get a slightly stock 06 evo.. i mean your trading your dad's plymouth so you sure have no problems with stock evos running you around $26k.

goodluck jon.. make the right decision.

i dont see why you want to get into a built evo in the first place. my evo has a drop in filter, test pipe, and tune and to me its much funner and enjoyable than any other evo i have ever been in, and yes ive been in some high hp evos. personally i would never want an evo that has over 400whp because its completely unnecessary and you would not be able to autocross with it because you would have a turbo that wouldnt spool up fast enough.
