Hello

Hi,

I am yet to buy an evo, but I will be in the market prob by the end of the month. Many of you prob know me from other forums, but I wanted to join here to take a look around and see what I can learn. Here is what I will be in the market for when the time comes.

CAR
05 ssl, or rs

MODS
I would like to keep my mods to a minimum. I am not looking for a bullet on wheels, but something kinda stockish with a few go fast parts.

Exhaust - Jun bl (I love the way it sounds) Buschur down pipe, Megan o2 (i have a few others im doing research on)

Exhaust mani- stock ported

Turbo- CBRD BBK or Map sst (up in the air still both good companies)

Intake mani- stock ported 65mm tb

FMIC- Buschur race core with pipes both upper and lower with tial bov

Cams- GSC 1 or Greddy easy cam (still kinda undecided but leaning twards the GSC1)

Intake- something I havent decided on as of yet.

Wideband- Zeitronics ZT2 (I have it in my talon and love it)

Fuel- single Walbro, FIC 850's

Tune- prob gonna stick with some sort of reflash

Guages- I'm really not a big fan of the way the evo guages look so I may want to do a new guage cluster such as I did in my talon. All autometer Phantom II(pics upon requst)

Goal- my goal is to hit 400whp and I think I should be in prett good shape to hit this with this current setup. I am not looking to run e85 in this car so these goals are strictly on pump gas. Any help would be much appreciated. I do have a pretty open mind about how I look at putting things together, but this is the basic setup I would like to run.

Thanks for taking the time to read my first thread.

Oh crap I forgot about the mini battery. Thanks, I have the pipes in with the Buschur fmic kit. On another note with a mini battery will I have any issues driving in colder temps?

Well I have found my evo. It looks like I will be picking up an 05 rs in whicked white possibly next week sometime. Hopefully things will work out and I can pick it up. I will be kinda busy with things here but I'm excited.

if youre just looking for 400whp you can probably save some money and stick with the stock turbo and push the stock injectors to the max. just a thought

It depends on what "400 hp" goal it is.. on our dyno, the stock turbo won't get you there. (unless extreme setups, which we haven't really seen).

Congrats on the new Evo!!!!

The reason I was thinking the gsc cams is, I want to keep a semi stock idle. I don't want a real lumpy cam. I have HKS cams in my talon and its fine. a little lumpy but its not bad. I want to keep kinda the sleeper sound.

Thank you, like I said I would love to have one of your guys turbos or maybe the Map turbos. Either way I think they are both great turbos, and would give me more of what I'm looking for. If I could make 400 whp on a Mustang dyno being it will read low, I'd be more then happy with that. I know not everyone agrees on which dyno is better, but either way I would like whatever ball park I could make with what I am looking at. This car has some mods to it and I'm waiting on the list. I have a few weeks before I can pick it up due to lawsuit reasons so I have plenty of time to look.
