2006 Evo IX Test Drive

So yesterday i went searching for an EVO IX to bring home. I first test drove a White Evo IX with 44,000 and it felt really stiff, no then we realize the car was droped and it didn't have stock springs.
So then i drove a Grey Evo IX and it felt smooth,Engine felt good and so did the suspension. Everything was great until 4th gear. 4th gear was damaged, it wouldnt go in into 4th at all.
So i made them an offer for $21,500 out the door for the white evo if they put the springs from the grey evo on the white one and the steering wheel also because the white evo steering wheel was missing a chunk, they said they'll get back to me. Hopefully i can find a good one soon. For some reason all the evo's are about an hour away from L.A. County.

Is the title correct, "2009 Evo IX....."? Which dealership did you go to? These were GSR's?

sorry i had just woke up when i posted this. it was an 06 EVO IX. It was Fullerton AutoSquare. It seems that they buy their cars from insurance auctions where the cars were repo. it seems that some come in with some body damaged and they fix them and then sell them.

Any idea what springs the white one had (see the color or any printing)? If it's a quality set (Swift, Eibach, etc.) you should definitely keep them.

Why are you paying retail form a dealer that buys and resells repo's

I flew from new york to georgia to get mine and then drove 24 hrs to get it home...

Not saying that you have to go to that extreme,.... but look at some of the classified ads on here... you can get a much better deal.

Well they were leaving it for $21,500 out the door when it only has 44,000 miles. you think i can get a better deal than that?
