Need some advice on buying evo

I'm a newbie to this forum and I need some help with buying an evo, i'm looking for an evo 8 or 9 under 25k and from a reputable dealer on the east coast. And was also wondering what mileage I should stay under when looking for a used evo. Thanks for any help and advice.

really the mileage doesnt matter as long as you thoroughly look the car over for signs of abuse , I wouldnt buy one with a ton of mods also.

I would try to buy from a private party. Dealers wont know how the car was treated, but when you talk to the owner of the car you can tell what kind of person they are and if it has been takin care of or if the car has been abused..

Definately buy from a private party or a Mitsubishi Dealership where the car has been fully inspected by ceritfied Mitsu technicians. Good look finding one, the process can be fun or frustrating, but it will all be worth it in the end.

Mileage? Does that matter..LOL. Anyway, If it looks like it was taken care of the mileage really doesn't matter much as long as it rides, stops, and drives good. Plus, you will probably start modding every single part on the car anyway.

I would get a Mitsu tech check it out.

Also, Dealers have too much markup on used cars. I would try autotrader,cars.com,and even craigslist.

Good Luck.

I agree with the guys above... mileage doesn't matter. Finding a evo 8 or 9 with under 25K is like finding a virgin on playboy mansion. Those things are just too fun and people drive the hell out of them. Although I did come across some older people who didn't drive the car much just kept it garaged. but you want to get an evo as close to stock as possible. That's what I'm hearing from the guys above and I've heard the same from alot of other people as well.
