Is this Evo worth 18k?

Hey guys, just thought id ask you about this particular evo i've seen. I want to know from what ive seen and its condition if 1, it is worth the money and 2 if you guys think he could be hiding something about the car.

Its a 2002 evo 7, he claims its the GT-A version but his is the manual 5 spd one not the automatic. It had the brembo brakes, BBS black rims, and recaro racing seats ofc. Its fully stock other than the HKS blow off valve and filter. It also has some cosmetic mods like a carbon fibre hood, bottom lip, and the rear end of the car is an evo 9 body kit, meaning the tail lights and rear bumper are evo 9, he said he bought the conversion kit. Its also got a full pioneer sound system with kenwood amp. and he claims its got a racing clutch of as brand i forgot. The car has done 73k miles.

The car, has no dents or major scratches, the body is clean and the has an accident free history. He took me for a quick spin of 5 mins and ran through all the gears, all worked fine. the boost would kick in as it should and would gradually increase with the rpm's, and the blow off valve was working without any compressions surge and sounding as it should. Felt to me atleast like the cylinder still had some decent compression because alot of boost would build up i mean for a stock turbo evo.

Ok, my questions are, considering i dont know of any mechanical problems that normally occur with the evo's other than having a clutch that gets easily worn out, is there anything specific i can check in this car that i could notice if its not working correctly, anything that usually breaks on them that i could look for? becuase i mean, its almost an 9 year old car, with 73k miles, and claiming there was no problems with it at all other than one rear window doesnt work.

Also, my other questions is, if the car is worth 18k? he also told me that all the servicing was done by the local dealer and he has all receipts and assures me there is no problems at all with the car and no leaks anywhere etc..

18000 us dollars? or 18000 bhd? either way i wouldnt spend that much for a car with 73000 miles. the boost shouldnt continue go up with rpm, it should start to taper after peak boost

Where i live there are only maybe 5 evos here ranging from 7-9's. this is the only evo 7 here and all the other evo's are NOT for sale. All these evo's were brought from outside as well because the dealer here only started selling them when the evo 10's came out.

sounds like a nice car, when you say the boost will go higher did it taper down after 6xxx rpms at least? should be at about 15 -17psi at redline max.

If you feel any bit of hesitation in your heart do yourself a favor and not buy the car. The last thing you want to do is buy a 17k car and have issues with it because the seller wasnt honest with you. Do they sound like they know what they are talking about? Did you ask why he is selling it?

I think its high, but you're dealing with laws of supply and demand. In many areas in the states, you can get a brand new X, a car with more potential generally, for $28,000 and a full warranty. So given what you say about availability, you have a lot fewer options.
