Hey guys, I have been driving a 1986 Mk1 MR-2 that my dad bought (brand new) and we have kind of turned it into a track car and pretty quick little car over the past 10 years. Every single part has been replaced with new (old) parts from Toyota or something aftermarket was put on in its place. Including an engine swap with s/c. I ended up buying it from him, and now I love it, and it is great, but I want to move on.
I am about to graduate from college, and have had my eyes on evo's for a while now. The only drawbacks I see are that insurance is going to be awful and maintenance will get pricey (but I would do all my own stuff). Other than that, I hear only good things about these cars, and I am looking forward to joining the evo owner's community.

The insurance isn't too bad, if you've got a good driving history.
I go to NC State right now, but I live like 15-20 minutes from the UNCG campus.
Here is my current car, but this was a while ago. In the car, the engine was swapped out for one that was basically new, and supercharged. I don't remember if this is before or after we swapped trans though. The only difference from the exterior is that the engine bay cover is blue because I couldn't find a white one after the engine swap. I don't ever spend money on changing the appearance of my car, except for car washing materials.
