turbo cool-down?

OK, since this is my first turbo car and from what I've read about turbos before it is recommended to let the car run idle for a while after driving before you shut it off.
Now my question is - is it only true if you run it hard or is it also good to let it idle if you do granny-driving as well?

Since my car has only 50 miles on it I still don't rev it much over 4k and so far I let it idle for like 1 min after driving.
How long do you let it idle?

I prefer answers from ppl who work on turbo cars or had a bit looonger experience with them.

10x!

Manual only states cool down is necessary after hard/spirited driving. If you stay under 3K, then you should be OK. You can search for more opinions under "turbo timer necessary?"

For normal driving I let my car idle between 30 seconds and one minute. After spirited driving, between 2 minutes and 5 minutes depending on how much time spent at full boost.

What about turbo timer, I was actually thinking about that today.
Do you have to change the ignition when installing it since you're taking the coded-key out of it?
I heard people had problems with that on 6gen+ Accords.
If so it's a *****
thx guys.
