ok guys i own a 08 lancer and i totalled my engine(hidrolocked it) so im getting a 4b11t swap of course with the turbo and everything, so heres my question i got a loan to do this swap im thinking of getting the stage 3 clutch a good aftermarket exhaust manifold , engine mounts and the ams intercooler , besides that the engine will be pretty much stock and im going to use my 4b11 5 speed tranny , what else should i get , please give me some recommendations

 

First get the engine in the car working with what ever clutch in it then worrie about the other things. You will be surprised how fast little things will eat up your money and you dont want to have a pile of awsome parts but no money to pay for the odds and ends to make it work.

Put the OE motor back in it. Getting a loan on a car that I guess already has a lien on it - bad idea.

What is a stage 3? This comes from the SRT4 world.

Ah, exhaust manifold - why.

I really recommend just repairing or replacing the stock motor.

lets say some azz steals your car and is never recovered. now insurance cuts you a check for whats "fair value", which usually isnt enough anyways THEN you still are responsible for paying for this loan you took out (but you have nothing to show for it as insurance will NOT pay you a dime for aftermarket parts). you sound like your 18, please mature up and dont be stupid unless you actually have money to play.

 

wow thanks for the help guys , i guess its to much to ask to be nice , i actually have the money to do the swap , but theres some aftermarket parts like the exhaust manifold wich price is around the same as the oem one , as for my insurance u can always add ur mods , like for people that buy expensive rims , u can add the new value of the car. SO PLEASE IF SOMEBODY S NICE ENOUGH TO HELP WOULD U MIND JUST GIVE ME TIPS INSTEAD OF BAD VIBES
