do i have to re-tune?

Hey guys. Happy friday . I just purchaced a ams ic and was wondering if I have to retune the car after the install. I had the car tuned a month ago. A friend told me that I didnt have to because its a basic bolt on but I need more opinions.

no you don't HAVE to retune, but it would be beneficial if you did...or else you're not really getting the full potential of the intercooler (cooler air temp, the potential to run more *, less prone to be heatsoaked like the stock unit, etc.)

What is the spec difference from your stock to New, That is going to play a roll on how fast turbo spools. I would recommend a re-tune but not necessary, like others have stated

It'll drive just fine without a tune. That being said, a tune will make the most out of the fmic and every other mod you do.

You may need a retune. Some FMICs flow more air and cause the AFR to go lean.

Also, you wont get the full benefits of the FMIC if you dont do a retune.
