New X Owner (2010)
New X Owner (2010)
Hows it going guys? When i first came to this site i remember i was eager to get a VIII or a IX, love that body style plus i wanted an import with AWD, a good racing history/ rally history, and reliable. Also wanted to destroy my friends CLK 350. I believe i made a thread which was faster also.
But thats all in the past. After years and years..i think since i was 8 or 9 playing Granturismo 1 on Ps1, The evo with the huge fog lights on the bumper..i fell in love and wanted an evo ever since.
Anyway after owning 2 preludes, still owning my pathfinder, i finally treated myself with an X! Im in LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
Car pulls like no other, (at least that i've driven or rode in), Its extremely comfortable (cloth interior), and best of alll looks f*cking aggressive.
Now im a Newbie to this car, but not into getting my hands dirty with cars in general. But i do have some questions to bring to the table.
1 - I Know there are self tuning programs, (Im definetly going to be doing research) Other then Cobb, How do i connect to a computer? I want to personally buy a netbook for the evo itself, and just LOG.. study and learn what each thing it is reading. Also is logging another alternative then buying gauges? I Know there isn't a REAL need to buy gauges for a stock car, but when i do want to add some mods to the car and have the car retuned, is there a virtual reading through the computer?
2 - I know a couple of new cars dont recommend warming up the car when turning it on, but i always at least wait until i see 1 blue bar on the display. Is that ok? Or is it perfectly fine to drive right away like BMW?
3 - How long does the stock clutch last in average?
Last question, (I Have the Non - NAVI Radio)My steering wheel does not follow the presets from the radio. It does Volume and Seek up and down. Is there a way to change that? I would like to purchase the Navigation but is there a difference between the Navigation from 08-10 then the 11's? I Would love to add fuse, but would i have to buy a new 11 Navi in order to run fuse?
Thank's and sorry for all the questions! Hope to be apart of this great community!
Oh yeah, here are some pics!

Its stock..but hopefully not for long!
