what power are you seeking for?
the 950r has shown to deliver great power.

I've done a lot of research on this, trying to make up my mind between the 2.3L or the LR 2.4L. My conclusion was based on high hp/high rpm, I'll be pushing my block so take it for what it's worth.

* Weisco hd 1400 pistons all day long
* Oliver rods are my 1st choice because its the lightest i-beam steel rod.
Manley rods are my 2nd choice bc it's the strongest and has an option to use
625 rod bolts changing the pwr rating from a 1000+hp to 1200+hp.
* Crank really depends on your budget and how light you want to go.
Manley makes two versions forged & billet.

i think if you want to go for a 700whp, distance drag , you should consider doing a high rev engine with head that can compensate this flow.
if you have a good budget for ur engine rebuild you can go with top notch pistons and rod that are rated for high hp.or even get a built block that is ready to hold too much with high rev.
what fuel you will be using?

get a 6262 proven to be capable of 800whp and will spool 700ish rpms sooner that the 6765(950r).

get a MAP shortblock and they also do great port work. Hit up Adam tomarro hell hook you up

the 950r kit is more of a 2.1-2.2 lr built since it needs the revs to really show its power.
u might wanna try the ams 900x turbo kit as it spools as fast as the 6262 and makes more power. seem to fit more to your 2.3 built.
