Are HID housings the same as non HID?

I'm needing to know if a non HID headlight housing is the same a HID housing?
Mine is cracked and non repairable.
I found a non HID headlight and was just going to see if I can just swap the HID parts to the other housing.

They are not the same ive had both. Where the ballast is and where the bulb go are very different or dont have the holes where they need to be.

Honestly what you could wrap it in some kind of plastic and use silicone sealant to seal it and make it water proof. Check around the used section for just one HID for sale you can usually find one for cheap from someone that got in a fender bender and broke only one light.
