Buying an Evo

Hello I'm new to this forum, I have some questions about the 2006 Evo 9 MR. I currently have a 90 Nissan 300zx TT an am selling it to jet a down payment for the car.

Well how reliable are these cars? What are some common problems in these cars? An anything I should know. With my Nissan I got really used to putting money into maintenance since they are old so I have no problems with regular services and am a technician so am mechanically inclined.

With the proper care, they are very reliable. But I have a 9 MR and i would say go with the 9 GSR strong transmission. If you plan on modding.

It seems like you're looking for well-defined answers, but you first have to ask well-defined questions. I'd strongly suggest poking around the site, reading the stickies, perhaps tossing a term of interest into search, and then coming back to the thread. Good luck.

You really have to look at these cars as individuals. so we'd need to know a lot more about that specific Evo. Based on the info at hand, $27K is fairly high.

Look at each car as individuals. Kinda like at a strip club, you want to spend $20, but which girl,.

Seriously, you will have to drive each car and listen, feel for problems.
I still have original Trans,TC,and rear end, although I do a lot of maintenence and I don't really beat the crap out of the car.

Good Luck in your search
