Well i have a 9 MR and when i got it. It had some really bad splice jobs that hooked up some led lights under the driver and passenger side dash. And i removed them. And now it as a weird wine to it that wasnt there before. And yes i did undo the negative lead to the battery.

 

Are you sure it isn't a drivetrain issue, such as the transfer case?

 

Sounds like a little bit of Red maybe White.

Where is the whine coming from?

 

Under the drive side dash. under the steering wheel. I cant pen point it.

 

Are you mistaking the whine noise with a high pitch sound? I guess its the same thing. I had a cheap set of reverse gauges that installed would create a constant high pitch noise. Found out it was the relay that came with it

 

Yes. Im pretty sure its not anything drivetrain related, casue it all started after i hooked the negative back up to the battery
