Question about OR -> WA licensing...

New here, been lurking for a while though.

I've been contemplating purchasing a car in Oregon (where my parents live and I do when not in school) and am under the impression that if the car is registered there for at least 90 days, use tax will be avoided when I move the car to Washington (where I plan on living after school)

The only gimmick is that I still have a Washington State ID (parents moved three years ago).

Does anyone know if it could be a two-owned title with my mother's name and my name on the title if we are "technically" from different states (she has OR ID, I have WA ID).

Thanks for any insight anyone can provide!

When you say two-owned title, are you talking about having your parents as your co-signers? If so I don't see why not, although I'm not completely sure.

yes, they would be co-signers on the loan and their name would also be on the title
