Question New Guy With ????

As you can see I don't have a Lancer but with the turbo comming to the US I may look at getting one.
My stealth runs 12 sec 1/4's and posts respectful Sollo II times. If I get the new Lancer what will it take (parts/Cost) to run as fast or MABY FASTER?

I looked though some posts here and feel safe I won't get flammed but if I do it's ok caus I only feel pain when I am 2nd in a 1/4 and I have not felt pain in quite awile

If by "new lancer" you mean the Evo then I don't think you'll be disappointed, but there is still very little concrete on what's to come. I'd say check the Evo Rumors forum and read around. Hopefully most of your questions can be answered there.

the us lancer to run low 11's? hmm, think about slapping a t-28 on it and running around 12-15 psi, cost of that is going to be over 4g's

With the current USDM Lancer I'd assume closer to 6-8g's. for turbo, exhaust, clutch, some internals, wheels and tires and an LSD....and Even then I dunno bout 11's.

He's talking about the Evo ya apes. The Evo will run quick 1/4's but I'd suggest using it to keep on doing those Solo II runs. Dragging an Evo is a tremendous waste of its abilities. Making Evo's go fast is relatively simply (depending on how much Mitsu neuters it). Definitely look around or ask some of the few VII or even the older Evo owners for advice.

The Evo VII runs 14's, which is still very fast. Some turbo and internal upgrades will help, but will cost a lot. You could try like a 70 shot of nitrous.

Er...no? Upping the boost, a boost controller, bigger down pipe, less restrictive intake and exhaust...simple bolt ons work larger wonders on a turbo car than they ever can do for an NA car.
