Evo9 Pre Purchase Inspection

Hi All,

I'm thinking about getting an evo9 and wanted to do a pre-purchase inspection.
What should I ask the shop to look for?

I'm probably not going to see the car in person before pulling the trigger. I know the seller through my racing community -- but still want to have a third party look the car over.

Based on previous car purchases I'm thinking:
- compression
- leak down?
- ecu dump
- put it on a lift and poke around
- check body for evidence of collision; repainting
- check underbody plastic fasteners and plastic for tears / damage
- interior for wear / tear
- car has had some work - so checking the turbo and exhaust plumbing for tightness / leaks

What else?
Anything that is turbo specific? (This will be my first turbo car...)

I did a quick search and didn't find anything on the forum. I'm fine with your response being a link and a clever comment about my not using search. (So far - search was not my friend.)

Thanks!

Hopefully it will be a specialty shop -- then I won't have to worry about it.
I have a separate thread where I'm asking the locals where to go for PPI.

Failing finding a specialty shop I'll go to a dealer -- but if I send it to a dealer then I want a list of things for them to look for...

check tire wear for excessive toe or camber, pull dipstick ,look at oil and make sure its not milky or evident that there is gas rundown in cylinders by strong smell of gas in the oil. open door and stand on door way and see if there is excess sway when pressure is applied.check for mitsu stamp on all auto glass can tell you if its been wrecked or broke into before.other than the clutch my evo has been the best car ive ever owned
