hmm so u guys tihnk going filter and tune route is better than going with an AP?

Depends on what you want.

AP will be cheaper and you can run stock maps for decent power gains.

Intake and a tune will yeild more power (if done by a good tuner) but will likely cost you 2x as much as the AP.

Only reason I haven't done a tune is because of screwing people on warrenties. stupid stealerships....

well road race engineering said for 550$ they will put a filter and tune that will take me to 305 whp

Do it I have a K&N drop in and tuned at Road Race and they got my car up to 316whp & 336lbtq @24psi. Those guys do a great job

Yes. It's cheaper and you'll make more power. The plus of an access port is the ability to change the tune as you add mods in the future.

Not true. The access port is $595. No basic tune should cost that much, let alone double. As stated above you can get a filter and tune for less. My shop does tunes for $300, add a $30 filter and your all set.
