new to the evo scene . HELLO :P

Hey guys new to the forum . Just picked up my first evo IX. Lovin it. I come from a 11 sti sedan 310/330. Awd 4 cylinder . Nothin new to me. Have built many cars from old school chevy to boosted hondas to wrx and sti. Hope to see some of u around .

1992 CIVIC VX-R

2011 STI LIMITED

2006 EVO 9

Lowered on tein springs
full 3" TBE
Tuned to 18psi
23k on the clock

Snagged for 24K. Great buy IMO . Cant wait to build more. .5 sec quicker than my sti was. That was stg2 also. Very pleased with car.

Why'd you ditch the STI?

Waste of money!!!! Cost way to much to mod. Everything was so touchy. Didn't enjoy the worry of **** always causing issues. From alignments all the time . Not so great MPG. Not much in power gains for mod prices. Bottom line just to expensive. **** just seemed always touchy with everything. I know alot more about the evo's and dsm's. Wanted to try something NEW. Evo is much quicker and IMO more fun to drive. So I took my 20k down and with my civic and owe 0. No car payment also part of the reason. With always being worried about a CEL light coming on or alignment off again . Was going thew tires about every 4k . Plus my payment. Bottom line is more fun, no more payments 2nd owner, quicker, and I can get better power IMO with the evo. A few of my friends have them and have had no issues like what Ive experienced with my STI. DOnt hate them just couldn't afford to keep dumping money in basic things and i couldn't do my big modds as planned. Hopefully they fix all the stupid issues with them. But if i did it all over , Im still happier with my evo9, should've bought the evo X GSR WW i test drove FTW
