Newbie upgrades!
Let me first start by saying praise be to the havens for my new 2010 GSR Evo! I have been following the site for a while now and really could use some insight into modding my new Evo. I have never modded before and this car will be my daily driver. My goals with my Evo is to get it as powerful as possible without getting into the bigger mods such as cams and a new turbo. Also I don't want my car to be smelly due to my work. I am willing to spend a little over 3k and I also don't want to wake up the neighbours with my exhaust but I want one that will still produce power.
Having all of this being said I am currently working with a performance shop here in Texas and this is what he is telling me I should go with:
AEM intake, Cobb test pipe, Greddy Spectrum Elite exhaust, Cobb access port and a custom tune. He is telling me this will net me about 260 to 280hp to the wheel on a MUSTANG dyno? Guys I only know what I have read here on some posts but I really need you guys input on all of this because as I said I'm lost!? These are my questions. One are these the right parts to go with? Will it make more or less power? Will it be smelly? Will the exhaust be to loud with the test pipe? Finally will this setup best achieve my goals?
Thanks to everyone's input in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
