New to Evo Old DSMer
Hey guys, finally got out of my DSMer phase and came to my senses and went up a step. I just traded my 1g TSi Talon for a 2006 EvoIX MR. Been wanting to do this for years but never had the finances to do it, but I do now!
I'm in the Clarksville, TN/Hopkinsville, KY area. The car is grey or charcoal as everyone else calls it
. I do have a question already about it though. When I got the car, the guy who had the car before me was a n00b and didn't hook up the AEM TruBoost right so it wasn't running right. I fixed the TruBoost on it and it's running 22lbs of boost right now, but I'm throwing a bunch of codes. I've pulled the codes before and erased them, but they keep coming back and I'm wondering if you guys would know how to keep them from coming back or how I can fix them so they won't come back. Would it just require a tune/reflash of the ECU or am I going to be needing a bunch of parts? The codes I'm throwing are as follows:
Overboost, EGR Low Efficiency, Catalyst Insufficient (or something like that), and System Lean Bank 1 (which confuses me because on my WB AFR I'm reading roughly 11.2-11.4 while at full boost).
Anyone care to shed some light for a New guy to the community?
Thanks all and I'm hoping to meet up with some of you guys sometime.

Just like the good ole dsms man.....boost leak test....you got a aftermarket exhaust? Also look at the vac lines going from egr valve.....sometimes they like to pop off.
Congrats on your uprade!

I'll make a boost leak tester tomorrow for it and see if I can test it somewhere. As far as I know though, it's good because I'm not getting any type of idle surge. I'll also check the EGR Vacuum lines tomorrow and make sure those are in good working order and connected. As far as the exhaust, it has an aftermarket exhaust tip, and sounds like a full 3 inch exhaust, not too sure though, it was on it when I got it, as well as all the codes lol. I'll check that tomorrow too. And thanks for the congrats and the reply

Well the vacuum line for the EGR was blown off, popped that back on there, seems to be running a little better too. Now I just need to figure out the rest of the issues.
