New girl!

Hey everyone! My name is Carla I am new to the EVO world, not the AWD turbo platform. I am a toyota tech and I currently own a 1994 3000gt VR4 that is my fully built project in the works. I have been creeping this forum reading up on the EVO's and am finally at the stage where I am ready to buy! I'm looking for an MR , but my budget can't handle anything over an 08. I just wanted to get myself out there and get to know some of you guys on here and hopefully you can help me out with my big purchase!!!

Appreciate the help in advance!

Carla*

Low mileage and not molested, expect to pay a bit more. Well worth it though. Then on the other hand, I sometimes wish I would have bought a cheaper, modded 8 and then just built it.

The classifieds here and craigslist is where I have found all three of my evos I have owned.

Welcome!

Mines was ok. 98,000 miles rims, front mount, fuel pump, etc. The guy had two kids and need a bigger ride. Sweet for me. Now he has a Tahoe.

If the stock clutch is still good then the Evo was not driven hard. I would buy an Evo with mods if it still has the original clutch and it doesn't slip.

I bought my 9 when I had 2 kids (3 & 1 year old).
They love it!

I have plans for the EVO except Im really trying to focus the majority of my "mod" spending on the VR4 as it is so close to being done. I'm a true "built not bought" enthusiast hence why Im desperately searching for a stock one. At first I would like to do the small things, ie: exhaust , intake FMIC, lowering, etc. I had a set of EVO8 wheels that I had on the vr4 that I am regretting that I sold =/

Anyway, I know I should search this, but is it really worth it for me to search for an MR or no?

He's right! I got 360 whp with 23k miles & still has good stock clutch!
The bad part: I don't want to sell!
But welcome Carla by the way, & good luck with the search!
