i just redline first time of my Evo today..when turbo kick in.. the Evo just fly.. but when it pass around 5500rpm... it boost it kinda gone... it that normal?? i heard you can reprogram the ECU and keep the boost up til redline?? i'm newbie of my EVO ...

the feeling of running into a brick wall after 5500 rpm is due to two things......you're running really rich from the factory after 5500 rpm and boost tapper from 19 to 16.5psi.

I felt exactly them same about my evo. Shiv at Vishnu Xflashed my car and now the power band is nice and fat. No more "nosing over" in the higher RPM. I was amazed that this was possible with 91 octane. I'm really impressed with Shiv and what he can do. I chose this approach as to not blow my engine up with a boost controller. Nothing against the guys with boost controllers, it has to do with self controll
