Hello, name is Ramon...joined site after browsing on here for a used evo VIII or IX. Hoping to be active member of site once I get one..as for now, Im just reading up on things. I just moved to Vandenberg AFB, CA about a month ago...been in AirForce for 8 years.

Definitely not new to the AWD scene..during my last 6 years at previous base..I owned 3 STi's, 1 WRX and a Forester XT..all them had slight mods. I got rid of my 04 and 08 STi before moving here and got a new 2012 Veloster as a DD so I can make room for an EVO..also sold my '08 ZX6R.


Hope to meet some of the Cali guys at upcoming events/meets

 

Finally got into an evo.....tarmac black wrapped in matte white by Rolotech. Only mods are speed element intake and exhaust..lowered on tein springs

Thanks. .didnt make it to MOD since i had to work that day..but did see some sweet evos at RRE on Wednesday.. im stationed at Vandenberg AFB..which is near Santa Maria area.not much of car scene here :-(

 

Dude ur not the only who didnt go to MOD lol i had to work as well i heard it was literally packed n there was miles of line to get in lol .... Maybe next year

 

It wasn't that bad, at least not for a long time, if at all. I didn't leave my place in Costa Mesa until around 7:30am (my girlfriend refused to leave any earlier, even though the caravan I wanted to go with left around 5), and by the time I got there about 20 minutes later, the line was pretty quick, though at that point, we did have to park on the grass.

 

Yea hope next year but til then..just work on EVO and try to make random meets

 

welcome to the evo scene. I am from that area though i currently live up north for work. I know a guy who specializes in mitsu and subi's in that area if you are inteested. He is a great guy and does great work he has tuned my evo and my dsm for me along with quite a few of my friends subi's. He owns a couple nasty dsm's his shop is out of san luis obispo so let me know feel free to pm me if you are interested. Welcome again to the evo scene.
