What's up everyone? My name's Matt and I just purchased an 05 Evo MR. So far I can tell it has an ARC intake, Perrin downpipe and cat back (not sure about the cat though), from what I can tell when I had a GSX looks like a hallman manual boost controller, turbosmart dual port bov (which i'd kind of like to get rid of), an aluminum radiator (not sure the brand), and what feels like an aftermarket clutch. I'm loving it so far except for the bumper that came on it, would definitely like to find a stock one to put on. Just had one question, what exactly is the oil capacity for the engine? I've searched and some say 4.8 and others say 5.1 because of the oil cooler? Thanks!

 

Hi mate, nice ride! Don't get rid of the BOV, it's a good unit. I think from your other thread that it's installed incorrectly (I have the same unit). As for oil capacity, I've never used more than 5L before - and that's taking into account the oil filter and running the oil in the car before topping up.

 

Nice mr I would go back too stock bumper also I always go with 4.8 just check your dipstick gl with car

Thanks guys. The people at advanced auto looked it up and their computer said 5.12 so I was just wanting to make sure. The BOV is alright but i'd like something more quiet and I kind of don't like the fact that a bit of air is released to the atmosphere and don't have the block off plate to make it fully recirculate. I'm also hoping a stock bumper will pop up on here for sale, I'd take the MR or the other bumper if they fit because the one I have is a little too low for me and it's fiberglass. I'm assuming the stock bumpers are some type of plastic?
