i convinced my parents

i'm gettin' a lancer (my mom only settles for highest... so its gonna be OZ). its pretty cool coz i'm not spendin' a penny on the car. i'm just going to pay for insurance... 250/mo. don't you wish your parents spent at least a dime on your car? hehe..

anyway... i planning not to tune it... i don't know why. probably because i just want to enjoy my youth being dumb (did that make sence?) and spening money like its water. but so far i have 2,000 in the bank.... should i do aftermarket? hehe

sorry if you don't care... i'm just excited to get my first car (that isn't a 16yr old caravan... )

its ok to be excited....i was when i finally upgraded my '86 ford ranger for the lancer, its a big step up. as for the aftermarket, thats always up to you, the car works fine stock but they dont call those extra parts performance parts for nothing.

Congrats! My Lancer is my first car too. But it took going through a few crappy cars first. What color did you decide on?

its all good that your mommy and or daddy are buying you a car, wouldn't boast to much though, after the statement "my mom bought me a car", in some neighborhoods will get you shot. But do I care, no, just as long as you start putting some serious parts in it since you don't have the big monthly. $250.00 for insurance, WTF? I only pay $25.00 for full coverage through Geico, G-damn, I forgot that ****ing took place on both ends as a teen, whew! Anyways, build that ***** so ya can start saying "I put it together".

if you're not talking $25 a day(rather than a month) then you must live in a safe little neighborhood, married, with kids, multiple cars on same policy and you're like 25+ in age.... am i right? cuz i pay $210 a month and im 20, with none of that other **** i mentioned abotu you. just curious as to how you pay $25 a month for full on a new car... ??

You are right on all the above except for the neighbore-hood. I am holding someone at gun point face down in my driveway at lease twice a month. Only had to pop off round at two people so far. My neighbors don't care cuz they like the hood security I'm providing.

I've had:
3 guns flashed
1 round incoming
7 knives lunge
3 promises of death
uncountable F.U's
7 chases to their doorstep practically
and a cartridge in a par o-trees.
Do I worry, Yes, Do I care, ummmmmm.... I'll get back to ya with dat after I move.... K.?

I don't think da-hood has very much to do wid-it. But for the most part, your right. My individual insurance without de extra packages, is about $110. I know this due to separation, but g-dam 2+ bills, ouch. I feel you. For 2 cars we pay only $98 a mo....

Oh, and don't let me catch you in my yard...

Seriously though, I wish we could all just get along.

yea.. my parents are spoiling me because my grades in school, and i just got an 85% scholarship to some college here in FL.

its 250 a month for insurance, not 25. i don't know if thats high or low, but my parents went to the place to find out how much it would cost.

about the color, i'm most likely going to get a black one. its going to stay stock for a while. i have a job that pays 7 bucks an hour, and i'm only working full time for the summer and when school starts, i can only afford enough to pay for insurance. so 2 years from now the lancer will be hooked up.

i don't know why... but you guys are saying its 17k for the OZ.. but when we went to the dealership, we showed the guy our 15k (cash) then we just got it like that. i'm lucky i'm in the noob forum, so no one can yell at me in OT... but... if you buy a car in cash... does it really lower the cost of the car? (or make the dealer more anxious to sell it)?

well... yup.... OZ is mine

The later i'd say. Less paper work and other **** i'd imagine.

I'm betting when the Evo comes out, pay the dealer in full and I bet you won't get price gouged.

Can't speak totally for sure on the car sales game but when someone flashed cash at me when i was a motorcycle salesman i was a little more likely to get the deal done for the price they wanted. Here's something to go over, and that guy who's dad is a dealer can verify or deny this, but i bought my lancer for the invoice price of 15,659. Now since the dealer is not in the business of giving things away, i am willing to bet that there is a massive dealer incentive on the lancers right now because (at least in the midwest) sales are a little lacking. So when they took your fifteen grand they may have taken a loss on the car but they then made up for it with incentives and rebates from . So in short yeah you got a good deal, i was just explaining why it was so easy to do so.
