Just got an evo 8, and instead of painting the nasty looking chrome tail lights red, I wanna get evo 7 tails.

Before I drop that money I wanna know if theyd fit properly.

A quick an cheaper way to get the look you want is to keep your 8 tails and get the vinyl overlays to make them look like 7 tails. A vendor on here used to make Evo 7 overlays and they looked great.

I have a good friend stationed in Japan so he could get them for me from a dealer so it wouldnt be outrageously expensive, I just wanna know if they fit. I'd prefer to have real ones.

Nice, and the bulb harness/housings snapped into them just fine too?

 

they're the exact same lights, they just look different

assuming you buy them new they will come with bulbs and harnesses; if you buy them used then that depends. either way, they'll either plug straight in or everything will swap straight over
