Question Should i get this as a daily driver?

Hello everyone i am new to theese forums as i am now looking into purchansing a evo 9.
now heres my story, i had a honda s2000 that just wasnt fast enough for me, so i decided i was just going to turbo it, which would have made me around 400hp... but then i really thought about it and decided against it as it was too small ands light of a car for that much power.. now to mention it was rwd...
So i ended up selling the s2000 and i now want to get a evo 9.
So after looking all over localy for a evo 9 w 50k miles or less which would have basic mods(intake, exhaust, exc.), but i came up short and didnt find anything. So the next best car that i found was one w 85k miles, but has the 2.3l stroker kit as well as a gt35r turbo and alot of other "heavy mods".

^^ there is the link to the car i am reffering too.
Now being that this car would be my Daily driver i was kind of worried about how many miles this car has for the mods that it has on it aswell.
I talked to this guy and asked him when the mods where done and if he had most records for all of the modification and he said that almost all mods were installed when the car was at 81k miles. but im not to sure if i believe that.
So what do yall think would this be a bad car to get as a daily driver? are the mods that it has done to it going to affect the reliablity of this car?

This is SO not the car for you. Keep searching for a stock-like example. It'll be worth it in every way. Good luck.

That would be a horrific daily driver imo, would be a wonderful weekend warrior provided the seller has receipts for the mods and engine build.

I agree stay as close to stock as possible, and then you can mod it yourself and with just light mods make plenty of power for a dd.

Not sure if you like the x's but they make very comfy dd's

I find of figured since there is a 12k+ just in aftermarket parts. But I thought maybe it wouldn't be to bad of an idea since if I were to get a stock evo I would be throwing in about 6k+ myself almost immediatly

I would keep searching around. That might be too much for a DD right away. I would try to find a clean 9 with minimal bolt ons and when the time comes, do all the mods yourself so you know what you put on the car. I found my clean WW IX RS with 79K miles on it for pretty cheap. Something will come up

an evo 9 would be a perfectly comfortable daily driver. However, I would not want to daily drive a car with a twin disc clutch, stand alone fuel management, or gutted interior. Any of those 3 would be a deal breaker for me.

FYI. I daily drove a 400hp GT35R powered evo 8 for almost a year with no issues or regrets. (ACT 2600 sprung disc clutch, stock MAS, full interior)

I wouldn't consider anything under 100K high mileage. Just my personal opinion.

I wouldn't drive that as a daily. Would it be fun? Of course. But it would get old quick. That would be something you bring out on the weekend. I would keep searching until you find something that is as close to stock as possible. It's tough, but they are out there. Good luck.

I agree with everyone here but check out some of the classifieds here there are quite a few good deals and if you can find one that will save you money to go pick it up a few hundred miles away then it should be a good deal plus here you can check out the sellers profile to get a feel for how they treated there car (look through their posts) good luck
