New Here, WW 2015 MR
Hello all,
Just picked up a WW 2015 MR a few weeks ago. I have been "breaking the car in" and have about 8XX on it. So far the car is everything I have ever wanted and more. Right off the lot I have some WRX wanting to play..... Anyways, I live around the chi-town area and have only seen 2 EVO Xs around so if anyone is down for a meet up or what have you let me know.

I'm downstate and I have only seen a handful of Evos in general in the Chambana area. Get ready to be pretty much alone!
Just got my 2015 a few weeks ago and have been waiting for the warm weather to drive it, up to 400 miles!

You should change the SST fluid at around 1500 miles. Costly? Yes, but it is supposed to remove any pieces that are shaved off during breakin.
Driving inS-Sport manual is the best for your clutches, to improve longevity. Normal and Sport mode wear on the clutch packs much more than S-Sport.
You can change to S-Sport without issue right when you turn the car on.
Keep it under 3k until you have 2 bars of blue on your temp gauge and are fully warmed up before you romp on it.
Enjoy the car!
When you change the fluid and the filter, look into installing a Dodson Heated Sump.
It acts as both a trans heater and cooler.
A heater will help by shortening the time your transmission takes to get to proper operating temp. Without one, it'll take about 15-30 minutes of freeway driving before the trans is happy for some hard shifting. One of the biggest wears to the SST clutch packs is hard shifting on a cold trans.
A cooler will help on the track and will use engine coolant to transfer heat away from the trans, which will enable you to stay out longer during hot laps and prevent you from overheating your trans. Without it, you'll get about 10 minutes before you hit the overheat warning and limp mode afterwards.
I also drive almost everywhere in S-Sport. S-Sport auto until I see about two bars in the temp gauge, then switch it over to S-Sport Manual. The only time I don't is during a long interstate cruise, where I'll switch it to Normal and engage Cruise Control. If I need to shift afterwards, but before coming to a stop, I'll switch into Sport mode until I can switch back into S-Sport at the next opportunity.

LOL... i'm not going to do anything to this car for a while. However don't get me wrong, there is a list that is growing but i'm getting married in a few months and that is where the money is going. For now its window tints and a set of tires that will be more "Chicago" friendly.
