Im new here im currently working on a project mirage evo conversion

Welcome aboard My son owns a 2001 Mirage 4 door LS Auto....I would love to convert it too, but maybe after he's done with college. Ironically, I bought a 2001 4 door LS 5speed brand new from Mitsu back in 2001. Mitsu had to locate the car in VA and drive it up.....I should have held on to that one.

 

Yea im sourcing parts right now i have found 2 potental rear trunk pans to do the awd part just waiting on the green light from the wife to go thet it lol

 

wouldnt it be cheaper to buy an evo 7 or 8?

 

Jonno99 First why would i want what everyone else has? Second we never got an evo 4,5,6 in the usa let alone a rhd evo. Third a 98-01 mirage cost roughly 500-1500 in good shape the clip with everything i need for the front conversion will cost me 2500 not to mention almost all jdm front clips only have max 60k on the engines and they usualy come with awsome upgrades, the rear trunk pan will cost me 300 i already have that, so on the high end its gonna cost me rougly 5000 give or take 500 depending on if i wanna get any extras. Now im a mechanic so as far as labor i do all the work my self so i dont have to pay my self lol my payment is the finished product. So no it would not be cheaper for me to just buy an evo 8 besides most of the 8-9 evo's have already been molested and played with hard who wants to own someone elses slopy seconds id rather build my car not buy it. I mean wouldent you?

 

And to add to that you cant find an evo 8 for less than 12k from a dealer and most private party sells want 20k or more
