G35 to Evo X

Wats up guys, I'm coming from an 03 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6-spd into a 2008 Evo X GSR with 85k on the clock. The cars is Rally Red and has got all OEM upgrades...Navi, Aluminium **** Knob and E-Brake, HIDs, SSS package...the whole nine. It also has some other performance upgrades from the previous owner:

Perrin Turboback Exhuast
Perrin Intercooler & Piping
HKS BOV
HKS Intake
Rota Wheels 18x9.5

Just picked up this baby today and super excited about unleashing the boost after driving a NA 6 cylinder. I gotta get a nice set of tires as they are all mismatched right now ...but other than that and new brakes in the rear I hope to tear up these Jersey streets soon!!!

Hey!

Welcome to your new community! The G35 is a great car with better amenities than an Evo, but your 4 door grocery getter with go cart steering is a blast to drive on curvy roads! Have fun!

The G definitely has me missing heated seats and a sunroof, but the driving experience can't compare! The Evo is a road warrior. Thanks for the welcome!

Be sure to get good matching tires soon. These cars don't like mismatching tires.

I am working on that now literally! What do you think of a staggared setup? I am looking at some used Yoko's 255/35/18 & 275/35/18, I have 18x9.5 Rota's on the car now with the mismatched tire

Staggering of any amount is will hurt the transfer case. Back when it was time for my first tire change I tried to get away with just getting 2 tires (another brand but same size) because two had a bit of remaining tread. The first time I got above 80 I got the service required message. So I imediately threw on 2 more new tires of the same brand and had no more troubles.

Welcome and congrats on your new ride! Back in 05 when I purchased my first new car it was between the G coupe, Evo, and STi. I loved that G but the dealership wouldn't budge on pricing. I'd still love to have one but I'm happy the way things ended up working out...maybe in a couple of years I'll pick up the G to complete the trifecta

Welcome,
I didn't have a g35 but i had a 350z once and that thing was a cornering machine. It would love to slide lol. Im sure the handling is quite similar on both, maybe more body roll on one or the other.

Congrats on the Evo lmk the difference in handling compared to the Evo?

Gotcha thanks for the input. I have two like new tires on the car now but they are discontinued so I'm need of a decent matching set. But I'm debating between summers or cheap all-seasons because I'm not in love with the wheels.
