Question about 5 speed vs auto
Im lookin to get a lancer but all i see it automatics. Ive seen 2 5speeds but they are both yellow OZ ones n i dont want yellow cuz it seems to be a trend. I was wondering if the regular lancers come stick at all or if only the OZ's come with the option. and OZ's come in only yellow and black?
You can get the ES and the OZ in manual. Generally speaking you can get any car in manual, there are just certain "luxury" packages designed for ease of use. Mercedes breaks the rule in that they are all autos i believe.
Mercedes has stick as an option on their higher up sports cars.
ES and OZ and Ralliart all come with manual options--however, because not many are sold, not many are sent out. Your local dealer may or may not have one in stock, and you may have to have it ordered from the factory (especially if you have a specific colour/option set in mind)

Yeah, the five speeds are a little uncommon...
When I bought mine, the dealer said the closest black 5-speed was in california ( I live in North Carolina)
I did manage to find a blue 5-speed reasonably close.

i really dont know anythign about lancers since i havent looked into them yet but what are the differences between and es and oz because i plan on putting a kit and cf everything then throw 18's on it within the first month so i was just wondering what the advantages are of getting the OZ over the es and if its worth it or not

You pay for the extras on the OZ. If you plan on getting a kit and rims you've pretty much sumed up the difference between the es and oz. Minus slightly stiffer front struts, rear sway bar and a few custum interior pieces. Remember that you should always set your mind on the one that you like or you'll never be happy.
As said above, if you plan on adding a body kit and rims, there's no point in getting the OZ. I kept the body kit and am using the original rims for racing (nice and light), but otherwise would have been happy with an ES. I was actually surprised to see a compact sedan (other than a Civic) being offered with a stick, and I was glad to hear it. A sensible car I could have fun with! They're out there, keep looking. Oh yeah, mine's not yellow either.
Don't forget two more speakers and different options of interiors.
And an aftermarket sway-bar plus perches (which you need in order to be the same as the OZ suspension wise) is $179. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
