a lil' worried

hi guys, im just a little worried because i just had an oil change and put a mobile 1 15-50 high performance synthetic oil on my 1000 miles evo. its pretty hot here in my place right now and i drive 24 miles a day to work (80mph on freeway, and love to step on gas more) and back home.should that oil protect my engine from heat?or do i need to drain that oil and switch to 10-30 right away? thanks.

Generally, higher weight oils are better for high temp regions, so you're fine in that regard. The only thing of concern is that the engine wasn't fully broken in when you switched.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
